On the heels of their recent announcement about the new interest targeting and a slew of other new features, Facebook has also announced the introduction of call-to-action buttons for pages. This feature can help drive more traffic from your Facebook Page to your website, a critical and measurable objective of marketers.

New Call-To-Action Buttons

Page administrators will be able to select from one of seven buttons that will be visible on their cover photo:

  • Book Now
  • Contact Us
  • Use App
  • Play Game
  • Shop Now
  • Watch Video

The Call-To-Action button will appear in a fixed location, on your cover photo next to the Like button as pictured below. Administrators can link the button to any destination on or off Facebook, for example, their website.

Dollar Shave Club, who has been testing out the new call-to-action buttons, said that it helped boost their customer acquisition efforts:

Over the course of a three-week test, the Sign Up call-to-action button delivered a 2.5x higher conversion rate versus other comparable social placements aimed to drive new user acquisition.” — Brian Kim, Director of Acquisition, Dollar Shave Club

This feature isn’t available to everyone just yet. It will be rolling out over the next couple of weeks and worldwide in 2015 so keep checking to see when it is available for your page.
